Filming will commence on our follow up to 1916 Seachtar na Cásca on Monday 30th April in Kilmainham Gaol in Dublin. 1916 Seachtar Anaithnid is the follow up title and is once again a 7 x 50 min series on HDCam profiling the other 7 men executed in Kilmainham in the aftermath of the 1916 Easter Rising.

The people profiled are Major John MacBride, Edward "Ned" Daly, Michael Mallin, Willie Pearse, Michael O'Hanrahan, Sean Hueston and Conn Colbert. The series will also reveal how these men were directly involved with the planning of the Rising and how they were connected to the 7 Signatories featured in the original Seachtar Na Cásca series.

Filming of the reconstructions will commence on June 13th and post production will commence right away in Abú Media, delivering to TG4 in January 2013 for TX later that year.

Once again, the main team is assembled for the primary shoot with Dathai Keane once again directing, Colm Hogan as DoP and Nicola Moroney as Production Designer.

The series was funded by BAI Sound and Vision, TG4 and from Section 481 support.
